Enrolments

Please note that we are not accepting enrolments for 2014 until the week commencing 22 July - Semester 2.

Darwin High School is a senior secondary college catering for students in Years 10 to 12. The Priority Enrolment Area for Darwin High School includes Bayview, Coconut Grove, Coonawarra, Cullen Bay, Darwin City, Fannie Bay, Larrakeyah, Ludmilla, Millner, Nightcliff,  Parap, Rapid Creek, Stuart Park, The Gardens, The Narrows, and Woolner.

There are two middle schools that feed into Darwin High School - Darwin Middle School and Nightcliff Middle School.

Students from these schools will need to follow Enrolment Process A.

Students from suburbs not in Darwin High School's Priority Enrolment Area will need to make an application to enrol and should follow Enrolment Process B.

Students from suburbs within Darwin High School's Priority Enrolment Area and who are not enrolled at Darwin MIddle School or Nightcliff Middle School will need to make an application to enrol and should follow Enrolment Process C.

Enrolment Process A

For students who are currently enrolled at Darwin Middle School or Nightcliff Middle School.

1. Darwin High School will contact your school in Term 3 to confirm your intention to enrol at Darwin High School in 2014.
2. Students will be given prefilled enrolment forms to update if necessary and to return with other paperwork.
3. Students will be issued with a username and password to access Subject Selection Online.
4. Updated Enrolment Form and signed Subject Selection Forms should be returned to Darwin High School before the end of Term 3, 27 September.

Enrolment Process B

For students who live outside Darwin High School's Priority Enrolment Area and do not attend Darwin Middle School or Nightcliff Middle School.

Parents should contact Darwin High School on 89991222 to arrange an appointment or complete the DHS online Enrolment Enquiry Form. Please advise if your child has previoulsy been enrolled in an NT Government school when making the appointment. Students who have never attended an NT Government school should complete an online enrolment form.

At interview the student should bring the following;

• proof of identity eg birth certificate or passport
• school report from previous school
• student portfolio which may include, example of student’s work, certificates of achievement/merit, and references etc.

Enrolment Process C

For students who live in Darwin High School's Priority Enrolment Area and do not attend Darwin Middle School or Nightcliff Middle School.

Parents should contact Darwin High School on 89991222 to arrange an appointment. Please advise if your child has previoulsy been enrolled in an NT Government school when making the appointment. Students who have never attended an NT Government school should complete an online enrolment form.

At interview the student should bring the following;

• proof of residential address (eg recent Power and Water invoice)
• proof of identity eg birth certificate or passport
• school report from previous school
• student portfolio which may include, example of student’s work, certificates of achievement/merit, and references etc.
