Darwin High School is a co-educational senior secondary school catering for students in Years 10 to 12. Located at Bullocky Point overlooking Darwin Harbour and the Botanic Gardens the School serves the Priority Enrolment Areas of Bayview, Coconut Grove, Coonawarra, Cullen Bay, Darwin City, Fannie Bay, Larrakeyah, Ludmilla, Millner, Nightcliff, Parap, Rapid Creek, Stuart Park, The Gardens, The Narrows, and Woolner.
Darwin High School has a reputation for academic excellence with students consistently achieving outstanding results in a range of subjects. In 2012 95% of eligible students completed their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET).
As a Centre for Excellence for Science and Mathematics Darwin High School provides students with an innovative curriculum. Working closely with Charles Darwin University, Conoco Phillips and Xstrata, students have the opportunity to take their learning to another level.
The School also has a vibrant Arts Program. Our Dance program in particular regularly showcases the amazing talent of our students.
Darwin High School is the only Senior Secondary College in the Northern Territory that offers 6 languages at Beginner, Continuer and Background Speaker level. The school offers three Asian languages and three European languages. Languages include Chinese (Mandarin), Indonesian, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Modern Greek.
